32 weeks

WoW!!! 56 days or 8 weeks, either way you put it, we don't have much more to go until this little one gets here. We are becoming more and more anxious to meet her. She and I are both growing everyday.

Here is a funny conversation I had with my mom yesterday.

Mom: I feel fat in these pants.
Me: What?
Mom: Do you have any clothes that you really like but you just feel fat in them?
Me: UMMM.......Have you seen me lately? I have put on a few pounds.

Also, I have a prayer request. Wednesday night I started having an awful pain on the right side of my chest that went down my right arm and under my right shoulder blade. I was having a hard time taking deep breaths because it hurt so bad. I thought that maybe it was my asthma but the inhaler didn't help much. I finally laid down on my left side and was able to get a little relief. I called my dr. Thursday morning and told the nurse what had happened the night before. I was feeling better but there was still some pain. They called me back that afternoon and had sent orders to the hospital for me to get an abdominal scan on my gallbladder. I couldn't get an appointment until Tuesday morning. I have not had an attack since then so I'm hoping it was just a horrible attack of acid reflux. She has me on Nexium for that, but I'm still hoping that's what it was. BUT Tuesday morning we are going in to have it checked out. Please pray that it was nothing, just some crazy pregnancy thing. That is what I'm praying for.....

Easter and 31 weeks all on the same day

Yes, I know, this post is a little late, but at least I got it posted before I turned 32 weeks. We went over to my parents house after church on Easter to watch Courtney hunt Easter eggs and eat a yummy lunch. This is her "DUH!!" face!

Me at 31 weeks. The belly is growing.

And here are my grandparents......no I was not with them on Easter, but Mema requested that I post this picture on my blog. So here they are!!!

MEME

I was tagged by Melissa to do my first meme! Here goes!

The rules are:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules here
3. Share 7 random or weird facts about yourself
4. Tag 7 random people at the end of the post, linking to them.
5. Leave a comment on their blog so that they know they have been tagged.

1. I, at age 30, still sleep with my pink baby blanket that my mom made for me when I was little. I think it use to bother Terry a little bit, but now I catch him clutching it in the mornings after I have already gotten out of bed. My niece Courtney and I have gotten into several arguments over it the past 4 years. My child will have her own. I do not share.

2. Since I have been pregnant I have a "slight" obsession with my bellybutton. It cracks me up!

3. My maternity pants are becoming to small. Not real sure how I feel about that but it's not a great feeling. I complained when they were too big, I think I jinxed myself. As BOTH of my grandmothers have pointed out........My rear is widening.......thanks!

4. I love taking photographs. I haven't been doing so much of that lately, but the arrival of Bella Grace I'm sure will fix that.

5. The other day my husband sent me an email and in it he said "how can you love something soo much that you haven't even met yet?" He was talking about how he feels about Bella. I cried.

6. I love to scrapbook. I haven't had much time to do that lately so I have a ton of pictures that I need to put into a scrapbook.

7. I love to sit and watch my stomach move all crazy. It is comforting to know that she is movin' and groovin' in there.

Now I tag Stacy Diana Tiffany and Kelly

I need more blogger friends!!! HA!

Spring Break

We had a great and busy week for spring break. I shopped with mom all day on Monday. Worked on crafts for Bella's room on Tuesday. Went to the Dynamo game on Wednesday. Took a nap on Thursday. Oh and also went to the rodeo with Mom and Dad to see Dierks Bentley. Terry got a new pair of boots. He loves them so much he wore them out of the store......with the tags on them.Showing off his new boots with dad.

I wasn't dressed very western-y.

Mom and Dad

Dierks doin' a little singin'

Then Friday I took a nap (I love naps), ate some ice cream (love that too, I'm eating some right now and typing with one hand) and our friends Jay and Ariel came to visit. We got to meet their daughter for the first time. She sure is cutie. Jay was playing in a beach volleyball tournament so they came to stay with us. Eating ice cream. And yes I did just put a picture on the internet of my pregnant self eating ice cream with no make-up and casper like white legs. :)

This was my view while eating my ice cream.

Jay, Ariel and Kailyn Friday night in our backyard while Terry was cooking fajitas.

Kailyn already walking and won't be 1 until April 15.

Saturday, I didn't take a nap but we slept in until about 10:30. We NEVER do that. Jay had to be in Galveston around 8 so they were long gone before we got up. We mosied our way down there and relaxed around the volleyball courts just long enough for me to get sunburned. NICE!!
Terry holding Kailyn.

Getting sun....burned!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Jay, Kailyn, Ariel, and her little brother Tyler.

We had a great time getting to see them. We hadn't seen them in a year or so. Ariel was still pregnant with Kailyn the last time they came down.

I will post Easter pictures separately. I'm tired now. I need a nap.

A different perspective

Niki sent me this pictures from the Dynamo game. It makes me laugh!!

Dynamo Game

Last night we went to a Dynamo game. We are now sitting closer to the field and it is AWESOME!! My cousin Tyler was in the area visiting a friend so he came over and went to the game with us. It was fantastic hanging out with him. We have never spent any time around each other without being around the family. He makes me laugh!!! He had never been to a professional soccer game before, but I did catch him getting into the game. As you can see he looks pretty excited!!!
Here is my BFF Niki, or as we like to call her, Inki. I hadn't seen her since Christmas, but her season ticket is right beside mine so we will be seeing a lot more of each other as the season gets under way.

There are several new posts so keep reading.......

Nursery Projects

As I mentioned in my last post, my college roommate, Diana, is helping do some things in the nursery. On Tuesday I went over to her house and we worked on some fun projects. Diana is a phenomenal artist. I knew this before I lived with her (we went to high school together also). She was an Interior Design Major and Art Minor so she is really good at all this kinda stuff. When we were in college we painted a picture for our living room together. I'm pretty sure I still have that thing somewhere. I painted the frames and she painted the birdhouse and box. She did have to help me fix the striped frame because my taping skills were lacking and paint seeped under the tape. But all in all I think as a total non-artist, I did a pretty good job. Diana is also painting some canvases for me to hang in the room. I can't wait to see those things. They are going to have little girl princess fairies on them. I'm not allowed to see those until they are finished.

The white frame has glitter on it. I LOVE glitter!!!

Nursery

This past weekend Terry and I FINALLY finished painting Bella's nursery. My college roommate, Diana, has been giving me some tips. She suggested that we change the color of pink that we had originally painted, so we did, and it looks much better. We had a really hard time figuring out what we were going to do where the pink and chocolate meet. We were going to do a chair rail but I had a feeling that would never get done so I decided to take into my own hands. I had seen on a different blog that someone had painted a ribbon around their little girls room. It was super cute so I thought I would try a variation of it. I still have to put the stitching on the "ribbon" but I was very pleased with how straight we got the lines around the room. TEAMWORK!!! Her bed came in and we put that up. I've always heard horror stories about putting together cribs but I must say this was very easy. Someone- I shall not say who- forgot to get the mattress when "he" picked up the crib so we don't have that in there just yet. We are still waiting on the dresser/changing table. Here are some pictures that will give you the idea of what it is going to look like, but much cuter when it all gets in there.

30 weeks

Here are my 30 week pictures!!

Courtney Performs

Last Friday night The Friendswood Christian School held their annual auction and dinner to raise money. Courtney is in Pre-K there and her class performed a song before the auction. I ended up not even getting to see her sing because she was standing behind the flag. I think she was ok with that since she has this new "selective shyness". I think that is kinda like "selective hearing". My husband has that disorder.

Courtney and her friend Raquel being silly. This is very normal for these two.I'm sure she did a great job behind the flag!!!

Dallas Shower, 29 weeks, and a Chicken dance

Terry and I traveled to Dallas this weekend for a baby shower given to us by two of my aunts and my cousin Tiffany. The shower was a double shower for Terry and I and my little brother and his girlfriend who are having a boy at the beginning of May. We left on Friday after work and headed that way. We had a pretty uneventful trip up, which is the way we like it. We had a great weekend and a HUGE thanks to the hostesses for giving us such a wonderful shower!!!Standing behind the diaper cake my Aunt Marcia made. (29 weeks)

The table

My cake. My cousin Tiffany made this cake. There was a cake disaster but she did a great job at remedying the situation. She had stayed up until 4 o'clock the morning before making the cakes and mine decided to jump out of her hands on the way out her apartment door on Saturday morning. She was really upset when she came into the house and I knew something was wrong. They told me what happened. I felt really bad for her because I knew she was really tired. She just happened to have made an extra cake so she iced it up and we ate it. It was delicious. Thank you Tiffany for the WONDERFUL cake. I brought some home. I think I'll have a piece when I'm finished blogging!!!Aunt Marcia, Me, Aunt Michele and Tiffany (The hostesses)
