Bella is 2 months old!

July 20, 2008
Our girl is 2 months old and growing like a weed!! She is smiling a whole lot. I absolutely love it when she smiles at us. She has also discovered her tongue and she is constantly sticking it out and playing with it. I love it when she sticks out her tongue and smiles at the same time. So cute. The poor child is not going to know what her name is because we call her so many things. At any given time she can be called Isabella Grace, Isabella, Bella, Bella Grace, Bella Gracie, Bella Bel, Bella Girl, Bella Boo, Bellie, Bellie Grace, Bellie Boo, Bel, Bel Bel, Bellers, Baby, Baby girl, Little Bit, Bit Bit, and so on and on and on. Terry decided tonight that we need to start calling her by her name a little more so she doesn't get to confused.

Bella is now sleeping in her own crib in her room. We are so proud of her for being such a good girl and sleeping in there. The first night we put her in there I had walked out of her room and I walked back in because Terry was in there working on the CD player. I peeked over her bed and she looked up at me, I said "Hi, Angel" she grinned at me so big it made my heart melt. At least she wasn't mad at us for making her sleep in there. That's not to say that she hasn't got mad about being in there because she has. She is doing very well though. Some nights she wakes up earlier than others but all in all I am very proud of her.

I have to go back to work soon. I am not really looking forward to it. I am so thankful that my mom is going to be keeping her. At least I will just have to miss her and not have to worry also. Of course I'm sure mom will get several calls throughout the day. I get sad just thinking about leaving her. I know we will all do fine, it's just going to be a shock at first.

We LOVE the River!!

A few weeks ago (YES! I am very behind on my blogging) we went to New Braunfels for our annual river trip. This year we rented two travel trailers. I was pretty nervous about pulling it but Terry did a great job!! Our spot faced Mom and Dad's so we had the whole middle area to hang out.

Bella finally got to meet her Great Aunt Marcia and Great Uncle Jerry. They got to meet Ryan also but somehow I didn't get a picture of that.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon. We couldn't wait to get down to the water. Those pictures are on my water camera, yet to be developed. (I really am behind!!) Sunday we just hung out down by the water. Monday we floated. Terry, Tim, Alyssa, Courtney and I all floated Monday morning. When we got back Niki had arrived so we went again. It was after 8:00 pm when we got off of the river. I've never floated that late before and don't think I will ever again, It was COLD!! Tuesday we just hung out at the river under the tent most of the day. Bella had her first experience down by the river. No we did not put her in a tube, she just hung out. Wednesday Niki headed back to Houston and all of us minus Dad headed to San Marcos to do a lot of shopping. Dad hung out at the river all day. I'm pretty sure he made some new friends because every time I talked to him, he was talking to other people in the background. Go figure!! Thursday we finally got Dad to float with us. We never got Mom in a tube, I'm not sure we ever will. Terry, Courtney, Dad and I all floated. We had a great relaxing time. The water was great this year. Not too high and not to low.
Bella didn't get the memo....There's no crying at the river!

Dad was SO HAPPY!! I think he loves the river as much as Terry and me.

More happy floaters!
Disclaimer: Courtney did not float down the river in her own tube. This picture was taken while we were sitting under the tent and they were playing in the water which was about 2 feet deep. When she did float with us, she floated with Terry in a double tube. Dad referred to the tube as the "double wide".

On our way home on Friday we stopped in Gruene. I love this little place. We ate at the Gristmill and walked around for a little while.

Our trip was great!! I am already looking forward to next year!!

7 weeks and Aunt Angie comes to visit!

Bella is 7 weeks old now and growing like a weed. She is smiling even more often. Mom and Dad finally got to see her smile the other day. She is holding her head up pretty well and still sleeping roughly 5 hours a night. YIPPEE!! She is a joy to have in our lives!!!!

Happy Birthday to ME!!

So I turned another year older. Not really excited about that so I will continue to refuse to believe it. I got a brand new camera for my birthday from my parents and Terry. It is AWESOME!! I'm not great at using it yet but I am getting better. It takes great pictures!!
All the pictures on this post were taken with it, except for the pictures of the camera itself. It is the new Cannon Rebel XSI. I have wanted a Rebel digital for a long time now so it's great to finally have it. Bella hates the flash on it but she is just going to have to get use to it. I LOVE taking pictures.

On Saturday night we had some company over and ate shrimp that Terry cooked. It was super delicious, bacon wrapped with cream cheese in the middle, lightly fried. YUMMY!!!! My great aunt and uncle happened to be in town so they came over and ate with us also. I hadn't seen them in a while, but let's be honest, they didn't come to see me, they came to see Bella and I'm good with that. Mom and Dad were here as well as Grammy, Tim, Alyssa and Ryan, and Adam, Lori and Avery. I really enjoyed myself and had a great birthday this year!!!

Another year older!!!

Happy 4th of July!

We didn't do much for the 4th this year. We were headed down to Kemah but the traffic was terrible so we turned around and ended up eating at this little Italian Bistro that we had never seen before. Good thing we tried it because it was delicious. As we were driving back home we could see fireworks all around us. We ended up stopping and getting out very close to our house and watching some of them. Bella was hungry and tired and there were mosquitoes so we went on to the house.

Thank you Aunt Angie for the bib!!!
