Isabella is 3 months old!

I can't believe Isabella is 3 months old!!! She has been so much fun. Her personality is coming through daily. Terry and I both think she is going to be a little goofy. But hey, she comes by it naturally. Neither one of us ever claimed we weren't goofy. We get lots of smiles and are waiting very patiently for a giggle or two. She loves the silly sounds Daddy makes. She is starting to push up a little bit when she is on her tummy. It amazes me how quickly she is changing. She loves to kick at her toys. Terry says she is practicing for her soccer stardom one day.

It has been really hard for me to leave her everyday. Most mornings she is still asleep when I leave, but on the mornings she is awake and smiling I usually end up being late. Well lets face it, I'm usually late anyway. I'm already looking forward to Thanksgiving break so that I can spend a whole week with her. Going back to work has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, but I have been successful. I have a picture of her the desktop of my computer at work. I have two monitors one of which I rarely use so I see her pretty little sleeping face on it all day long. Sometimes I find myself just staring, then I get sad and I have to bring myself back to reality. Kids come back Monday so I know that I will stay busy but I will still miss her like crazy. Thank goodness for NANA!!! At least I know she is being loved on all day.

OOPS!!! HELP!!

Look at that face!!! I just want to kiss her all day long!!!
She is our SUNSHINE!!!

Baby's got a new pair of shoes!!

I had to take pictures of Bella wearing shoes for the first time. Silly, I know, but I couldn't help it. She looked like such a big girl. Anyway, just thought I would post some precious pictures of her.

We are seeing more and more of this precious smile!!! We LOVE it!!!

Bella in Action

Terry's words!

Tomorrow is Emily's last day home with Bella before she returns to work. I know it seems like a small thing to many of you, but for us, after many years of waiting for Bella to be here it is hard to let her go. We havent even let someone else baby sit her yet. We are not being self fish, we just cherish every moment with her. On Thursday, if you have a moment, send Em a text or an email with some encouraging words. We thank all of you for the love and support that you have given us over the years.

GOD BLESS!

Bath Time

Bella LOVES bath time as is evident by the smile in the first picture. Daddy also LOVES bath time. Even though she is in the little tub they still find a way to play. I have a feeling when she is big enough to take a bath in the big tub we will have an enormous mess when bath time is over. I use to help Terry give her a bath but I have been booted to towel duty. I'm ok with that because it is more fun to watch the two of them. Of course I get her when she is mad because she is cold and she is not a fan of lotion (yes, mom I warm it up first). Anyway I took these pictures last night and thought they were cute. The first one is the best "smiling" picture I have captured from her. I hope ya'll enjoy bath time as much as we do!!

There are about 6 new entries so be ready to sit for a minute!!! I was really behind but now I am all caught up. YEA for me!!!

Introducing.....

Lexi Elizabeth Driskill...... My cousin Lesli had her baby. This makes great grandchild #3 for Grammy this summer. She weighs 8lbs 3ozs and is 18 inches long. Lesli and Lexi are doing well. Lexi has some bruising on her face but it doesn't take away from how cute she is. We went up to the hospital this afternoon to visit them. She got here very quickly this morning. Lesli didn't even get an epidural. I have new found respect for her that is for sure. YIKES!!! Baby Lexi

John Mayer and Colbie Callait

Last night we went to one of the best concerts I have ever attended. I discovered Colbie Callait last summer and introduced her to Niki. Funny because Niki is always the one bringing new music to me. We took Bella and and sat out on the lawn. Colbie and John actually sang a couple of songs together which I loved. Bella did great except for the electric guitar. She is not a fan. Terry had to take her out during that part but other than that she was very content. She even took a little nap.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Bella's 2 month Dr.'s Appt.

Bella had her shots and weigh in on July 28. The whole shot experience was horrible and and I'm pretty sure all 3 of us never want to do that again. We started with the stats and she weighs a whopping 9lbs 3ozs (6th%) and is 23 1/4 in long (60th%). We have a long and skinny girl. Then we had the horrible part. Terry took over when the nurse came in the with shots. He laid her down on the table and the nurse came over with all the supplies. She started with the oral vaccine. Bella was loving that one, apparently it tastes like sugar water. So they finish with that and the nurse tells Terry to hold her arms. (I am sitting behind Terry, not watching.) He held her arms and she starts smiling at him when all of the sudden the nurse comes in and sticks her. I think it literally took her breath away and then she screamed bloody murder. Luckily the nurse was fast but I LOST it. Terry picked her up off the table and held her for about 2 seconds before I took her from him. I had to love on her. She did calm down pretty quickly. Actually I think she may have quit crying before I did. Terry told me when he got home that he kept replaying that in his head all day. I felt really bad for him that he had to hold her down. But I'm not doing it anytime soon!! Anyway she slept all day and all night. I kept her full of Tylenol so she wouldn't be to sore. She was pretty fussy for a few days but all in all handled it all pretty well. Now we will do it all over again in 2 more months. Not looking forward to that at all. I got some really sweet pictures of her when we got home.

Happy Birthday Tim and Alyssa!!

Tim and Alyssa have birthdays within a couple of days of each other so we celebrated them together with a good meal at Top Water Grill, our new favorite place to eat. Mema and Papa were in town so they were able to join us for the celebration.Tim and Alyssa, the birthday couple!
