Fun with Kailyn

This weekend this little beauty brought her parents to visit us. Jay, Ariel and Kailyn came in town because Jay was suppose to play in a volleyball tournament in Galveston. That got cancelled so we got to spend extra time with them! Saturday the big boys watched the little girls so the mama's could get out and go shopping for a bit. Apparently there was a lots of playing and even a dance party while we were gone!
Girls and their tutu's!! Love how girlie they are!

The fun continued after we got back. Kailyn taught us how to make a tunnel out of the pillows on our couch. That made for quite a bit of fun for a couple of little girls.

There was also lots of helping going on. Kailyn was helping Bella put her necklace on. Such a sweet girl!

There was also a ton of time spent on the stairs!! I remember when I was little and could spend endless amounts of time on the stairs at my friend's houses that had stairs.

Bella came up with her own entertainment!

CHEESE!

Bella even tried to help Kailyn fix her hair.

Kailyn got a new t-shirt!! We can't wait to meet the new baby girl!

(yes, Bella is wearing her Christmas PJ's, don't judge!)
This morning before they left we FINALLY got them to sit still TOGETHER!! So sweet!

Thanks for coming to see us!! We will NOT go 2 years without seeing each other again!!

Hanging out at the park with "Corky"

Wednesday Courtney came over and spent the afternoon with us. Bella calls her "Corky" although Courtney never got to hear her say this because the child doesn't say much on demand. She calls her that when she sees her picture. We went to the park. We are so lucky to have 3 parks within walking distance of us. We went to my favorite park because the have a great section for Bella that she can climb and slide by herself. Plus we were the only people there.

There was lots and lots of sliding going on! Bella had so much fun sliding with Courtney.

I love my niece!

I love that they love each other!

Having fun!

WEEEEEEEEEEEE!

There was also lots of climbing going on!

Bella exerting her independence on the big kid jungle gym.

Courtney did so good keeping up with Bella and helping her.

Sweet cousins.

GO!

They had so much fun. We stayed out there for a couple of hours. It was so nice to be out in the warm sunshine!

Sliding solo.

Time to go back home!

It's RODEO TIME!

(on the bus headed to Reliant)

Monday night Terry, Bella and I headed up to Reliant for the Rodeo. I LOVE Rodeo time! Bella also loves rodeo time. Mom and Dad usually go with us and they were suppose to but Dad ended up having to go to meeting so they didn't come with us. We missed them being with us this year.

Bella got some loves from Daddy on the bus on the way. She was very excited to see all the things around us while on the bus. There were all kinds of things to see out the windows.

The first thing we did when we got there was ride the carousal. She about lost her mind on this thing. She had SO MUCH FUN!! She would squeal and scream and make these precious little faces. I am so glad Daddy let me be the one to ride with her on this. We will definitely be finding more of these to ride!

Oh how I LOVE this sweet girl!

Next up was the petting zoo. Of course this was a hit as well. This child loves animals. She walked around a barked at all of them. Because that is what most people do, right, bark at farm animals? She actually walked up and rubbed her forehead on a goat (or a sheep).

This little guy kept getting away from her. But was oh so cute!

And the baby kangaroo!! This was my favorite. I still can't figure out what a kangaroo has to do with farm animals. Does anybody know the answer to this or am I totally wrong and this isn't a kangaroo at all? I don't know. All that matters is that Bella was a fan!

All that fun made us hungry so it was time for some food on a stick. Makes for real easy walkin' and eatin'. Or in her case.....ridin' and eatin'. Terry and Bella shared a corn dog that we believe was made with pancake batter and I thoroughly enjoyed a sausage on stick. You can get anything you want on a stick at the rodeo as well as anything fried! We enjoyed some fried oreos on our way out.....YUMMY!!

After we ate Bella and Daddy rode on this precious little train. Bella loves Choo Choo's so this was right up her alley.

After all the fun outside we headed into the arena to see more animals. We found a cow named Isabella and it just so happens she was one of our Deer Park cows!

Bella loved looking at all the animals and mooing at the cows.

She had to have a little time to stretch her legs before we headed into the rodeo.

She enjoyed watching all the rodeo events but was really much more interested in the all the people behind us. They were all there to see her, you know. She put on quite a show for all the people behind us. She flashed them here best grin, waved, said "hi", and flashed her best grin again.......over and over.

Mama and Bella stopping her performing for a minute for a picture.

This was also very entertaining for her. She had her own chair for quite a while because the people that sat in those seats got there late. She got up and down about 257 times. It was great fun for her.

Then it was time for what I had so excitedly been waiting for.......LADY ANTEBELLUM!! Love them so much. I was so excited to see them this year. They are great!

Lady A up on the big screen.

We had such a great time and Terry and I get to go back on Friday night! This will be our first "date" with just the two of us, without friends or kids in about 22 months. We did go on a trip together this summer but this is our first date. Kinda sad for us that it has taken this long to get out together. We need to work on that :).

Spring Break with a Splash!

We started Spring Break off with a SPLASH at Schlitterbahn in Galveston. They have this great indoor area that is heated (water & air)! The best part is that there is a kiddie area indoor and the better part......Bella LOVED it!! Last year she loved the water and we were a little afraid that she may be afraid this year because that happens with kiddos sometimes. But she is her father's child in a big way. She had the BEST time splashing, sliding, squealing, and "swimming".

She did lots of sliding and had us both going up the stairs and down the slide, over and over again!!

She did take a little break to eat a snack.

But was quickly on the move to get back in the water.

She got braver and braver as the day went on and as we would get off the slide she would start back around to the stairs like a big girl. We would get almost to the stairs and she would stop and reach for my finger to hold the rest of the way. Melt my heart!

There was also a hot tub or more like a pool with hot water, either way if felt GREAT!! Bella enjoyed that too. Last year Terry would blow in Bella's face and then dunk her under the water. She always thought this was funny. He tried it again and she still thinks it's funny. Only this year she has taken it a step further and started going under by herself. Sign this girl up for swimming lessons!! I think she is going to be a little fish.

After Schlitterbahn Terry decided he wanted to go to the Rainforest Cafe. On Spring Break. That place was so crowded it was ridiculous!! Luckily he decided against it after he saw the line just to put our name on the waiting list. We did ride the ride and Bella really enjoyed all the animals and the sounds. We ended up eating at my favorite place, Fishtails!! I love me some Shrimp Kisses!! We had a great time in Galveston and we are so lucky that we live so close and can take advantage of it!!
