Baby Furniture

Terry went to order our baby furniture today. This is the crib and the dresser. We will have a hutch on the dresser. We will use it as the changing table. He also ordered our rocking chair but there isn't a picture of it on the website. Just thought I would share. 3 blogs in one day. You would think I should be working.

Still painting...

We are still painting in the house. We are almost finished. I really shouldn't say "we" because I haven't participated all that much. Our friend Ross has been helping us this week with the paint. My mom came over last night and started packing my kitchen. She LOVES kitchens. We took what she had packed over to the house last night. She has a key and is going to work on it today. Everytime I have ever moved, starting with moving into my first apartment in 1998, she has ALWAYS put together my kithchen. I think she should start a business. So a HUGE thank you to Mom for helping out with the kitchen once again.

I am very ready to get this move over with and be settled. Plus I just love our house and I really want to be able to go straight home after work instead of stopping by the apartment. I'm still waitng for Terry to get the computer moved so I have internet access at home. Don't worry there will be plenty of pictures to come.

Update on Grammy: She is still in the hospital and after a couple of rough days, she is returning to her normal self. She will probably be released from the hospital in the next couple of days. Thank you so much for the prayers!!

Long Weekend

Well it sure was a long but short weekend. We ended up not hiring the painters, we decided we could do the work ourselves and buy Bella her furniture and maybe even get a new couch. Our friends Donald and Crystal came Saturday and Sunday and helped out a WHOLE lot. My brother and dad also did an amazing amount of work. The only rooms we have left to finish are our bed/bathroom and Bella's room. There are probably some touch ups left to do in the entry but they were hard to see at night. I am completely amazed that we were able to get that much work completed. Mom even helped me paint in our bedroom yesterday. We have not moved anything in yet so it is still empty. We are hoping to move some of our stuff by the end of this week. Internet is already off at the apartment so I will post pictures when we get the computer running at the house.

Prayer request: My grandmother (Grammy), Mom's mom, was admitted to the hospital yesterday. She has pneumonia in one of her lungs and they are worried that it may go into her other lung. They have put her in the heart wing because they are also worried about her heart. Please pray for her healing and comfort.

We're In!!

We got the keys to the house yesterday and the painters will be there at 3:00 today. I'll post later with pics!!

Bedding, Registry and More!

I finally decided on bedding for Bella. And we have started the registry process. We registered on Sunday at Babies R Us. We forgot to put a few things on there but never fear, we can add those things from the internet. We will probably register at Pottery Barn Kids also. I'm really excited about her bedding. We ordered from Caden Lane. They have so many fun accessories that match the bedding so I can't wait to get her room together. You may not can tell to well from the picture but the colors are several different shades of pink, white and chocolate brown. I love it!!!

We are still set to go on the house on Thursday. We are quite overwhelmed but extremely excited. I'm not sure exactly when we will move but if Terry has it his way we will make a palate on the floor Thursday night. I want to get some painting done before we move in, I think it will just be easier that way. Anyway just wanted to give my faithful blog checkers a little update.

Inspection

We had our inspection on the house on Saturday. All went well. The house is in great shape. The current owners have been there for about 15 years and have kept everything in great condition. Very good for us!! We were there for about 3 hours which gave me lots of time to figure out which room Bella Grace would get to use. I also got some great ideas for paint. There really isn't a whole lot we will change besides pretty much repainting and hopefully putting hardwood floors in the dinning room. I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time in the backyard. Even during the inspection I kept finding myself out there. I can't wait!! We are definitely starting 2008 with a bang. It's gonna be GREAT in 2008!! Here are a couple of pictures we took while we where there.This is in the backyard. I feel some great picture taking opportunities coming!

20 week Doctor's Appointment

I went to the doctor today and it was pretty non eventful. The way I like it. I have only gained 1 pound in the last 4 weeks. I like that too!! Not to worry I had already gained 10 in the weeks before that. I've just slowed down.

Our Bella is a very active little girl. Terry was finally able to feel her move last week. I thought he was going to lose it. He was so excited. Since then she plays possum when he tries to feel her. She will be rolling around in there and Terry will come over and start talking to her and put his hand on my belly and she gets still. Is she trying to listen to him? Because if she is he probably shouldn't get use to it.

Just wanted to update on the wee one. I know I've been awful with this thing, but bear with me. I updated 4 blogs today so make sure you read on!!

New House? Maybe. YES!!

So Terry and I are in the process of hopefully buying a house. This is a crazy thing we are doing here. We decided to do this on a whim and everything is going according to plan so far. We will know a more definite answer by the end of the day. The house reminds us of our house in Nac but in MUCH better condition and MUCH newer. It has A WHITE PICKET FENCE!!! Seriously can it get any better than that. The owners got transferred to Holland so they had to move. The kitchen was just remodeled in October. Very nice!!

The house is 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bath, and a Study area. We will probably grow out of it within the next 5 years but we are excited about the investment. Hopefully everything will work out with this!!

Mom Retires!

As you all know I have been really bad at updating lately so I have alot to catch up on. My mom retired from FISD after 17 years of service the week before Christmas. She is going to work with my dad for now, she may fire him and run the company on her on before it's all over with :) Here are some pictures of the exciting event.

This is my mom and her GREAT friend Nancy. (Surprise Nancy, you made it on my blog!!!) Mom might not like this picture to much but I love it. You can tell how much my mom loves Nancy. They were lunch/shopping buddies. I'm pretty sure with Mom retiring they will get more shopping done since Mom can bring lunch to Nancy and they can eat on the way.
