Meet the gang...Saturday we went to Kidneypallooza to help raise money and show our support for our friends. Terry met Sam through soccer almost 10 years ago. I will never forget the night that Terry met Sam. He came home so excited about this awesome guy he had just met. He couldn't wait for me to meet him. Terry was right about Sam, he is one of those people that you just gravitate towards. He is an incredible guy. He has been on dialysis for about 18 years (give or take a year). He learned how to do his own dialysis so that he wouldn't have to go in and do it everytime. You would NEVER know that Sam has anything going on with him because he doesn't let it get him down. He and Lacye are two of the most positive people I have ever met in my life. To be honest, I'm not sure what has finally made Sam want (or need) to have a transplant but he is finally doing it and his is getting it from his precious wife. They had this fundraiser to help raise money for the procedure and recovery. The surgery is scheduled for just a few days from now so keep them in your prayers!
