House Church and Manitou Springs

On Sunday morning we woke up and piddled around for a bit. They have races up Pike's Peak every year (scary) and we could see the cars with binoculars as they were going up to the top. Without binoculars you could catch light reflecting off of windshields to figure out where they were. It is scary to me just driving up there normally. I don't know how these people take those sharp turns so fast. I'm talking 70+ miles an hour. No thank you!

I also must mention that Bella woke us up at about 4:00 am throwing up. REALLY? This again! Not only is a toddler throwing up no fun at all, but a toddler throwing up in someone else's house is horrible. We woke just about everyone up. Tiffany and Mom both ended up getting up with us because we were making so much noise. But really, how do you make a sick toddler be quiet? She was screaming her head off. We put her in the tub to clean her up and got the sheets changed on our bed, yes she was sleeping with us (we have now broken her of that!). Every time she moved the rest of the night we were grabbing the trash can. She threw up quite a few more times before we got up for the day. After we got up she only threw up once (over the balcony) while we were watching the races. Must have just been some sort of quick bug.

We did take a break from the races and had church as a family in the house. Uncle Jerry did the lesson and I think Dad may have read scripture from his phone again but I can't remember exactly. We took communion and we ended by singing all the kids church songs that we could think off. I think that was one of the highlights of the trip for me. Especially watching Uncle Jerry have so much fun with them.

After church the guys went back to the races. And some of us played dress up. And by some of us I mean Bella.......
She has on all my bracelets, my dress and my necklace, and her headband. I think she looks absolutely marvelous.

She may have gotten Ryan in on the action. Looks like he has on a couple of my bracelets too. Oh well, I happen to know his big sister has practiced her make-up artistry on him. One thing is for sure though, that kid is ALL boy!

After lunch we headed to this great little town called Manitou Springs. It has all these natural springs and is the cutest little place.

Always have to visit a Christmas store when I find one!

My gorgeous girl lost in thought.

Bella got a new hat. She loved it and kept in on the whole time.

We found this little pavilion that had a ton of these quarter rides. Bella didn't know what to think of them but Courtney took flight!

There were also lots of photo opps! Tiffany loves taking pictures with/on/in inanimate objects.....
........so we followed suit!

Bella lovin' her hat!
When did my girl get so big?!

This girl LOVES to shop. She asks me multiple times a day if we can go shoppin'. Sometimes she specifically asks for Target. We (as in she and I) have a little shopping problem :).

This girl loves her some ice cream!

We ran across one of the cars that was in the race up Pike's Peak. No way would I fly up that mountain like they do in that little car with no roof!

This is a view down the street in Manitou Springs. So Beautiful!
