Blogging from my iPhone
I downloaded this app so that I can blog from my phone. I also have a fun app that I play with my pictures in. I know I've already posted this picture but it looked neat with the editing application I have on my phone. Just giving it a test to see how it works.
Nine months
February 20, 2009
It's really hard to believe that our precious little angel is already 9 months. People aren't kidding when they say this time flies. She is trying to crawl but seems to have a bit of a lazy streak. I have NO idea where that comes from. She really enjoys standing and hanging on to things..... or not. She has gotten very brave lately and tends to want to let go when she is standing. Part of me is afraid that she may walk and not crawl. She still would rather us hold her bottle for her, not that she can't do it, because she can, she just won't. Again with the lazy girl attitude. She is a big time Daddy's girl. She has gotten to where she will cry if he walks out of the room. What's up with that?? Mama's still here...... Daddy's and their girls :) She thinks Gabby dog is the funniest thing ever and laughs at her all the time. Gabby licks all over her face and she leans IN..... EWWW!!
Now for her stats....... (Niki, I know this is your favorite part!)
Height - 28 inches - 57%
Weight - 17 pounds - 14%.......not surprised that this keeps going down.
Head - 18 1/2 inches - 98%......REALLY...how does this keep happening. I refuse to believe that her head is that big. AND I still say it doesn't look that big. Again if you think she has a big head, please keep the comments to yourself. I'm pretty sure it has to be that big because she is so smart and her brain needs the room with all of it's intelligence.

Bella's first tooth
February 10, 2009
Bella had been having some really bad nights and we couldn't figure out what it was. Well on Feb 10 Mom called me at work to tell me that Bella had cut her first tooth. We thought this would solve the "waking up all hours of the night" issue........it did not. But she does have a brand new tooth. It is her front bottom left tooth. Teething....oh how much fun you are! I took some pictures but you can't see her tooth. She is still really cute though.

I love this face. It cracks me up!
Bella meets Laney
A couple of weekends ago we went to go see Gibio, Natalie and Laney. We had not seen them in quite a while and the girls had not ever met each other. Natalie is pregnant with baby girl #2 so Bella will have another friend in a few months!! I can't wait to get together with them again!!
Bella gets a swing
So long, Farwell........
So I think one of the reason's I have been so far behind on blogging is because I was dreading writing this post. Grammy died about a month ago and I guess I just really haven't felt ready to post about it yet. She just never came back after her surgery. I think she gave up and didn't really want to go through the recovery. I know she is in a much better place and that she is happy and healthy again. I just can't help by miss her. I found myself a few weeks ago wondering if she would be at lunch. There was a split second there that I had forgotten she was gone. I asked Mom a question the other day and we realized that Grammy would have been able to answer the question. It feels really weird to know that we can't ask her things anymore. I'm sad that she won't get to see Bella grow up and that Bella probably won't remember her. Boy did they love each other!! Even when Grammy was really going down hill those last couple of weeks she still wanted to see Bella. I'm so glad that I have lots of pictures of them together so that I can tell Bella about her.
The last thing Grammy said to me was that she loved me. Luckily for me, Mom, Courtney, and Bella that was the last thing she said to all of us. We told her we loved her before we left and she told each of us that she loved us too. The next time I saw her she was unresponsive. I have those words to hang on to for the rest of my life. Don't get me wrong, I know Grammy loved me, but that being the last thing said gives me peace.
She was quite a woman that Grammy of mine.
4 generations. This was taken Thanksgiving 08 right at 2 months before she died. She looks so good here and I am so "thankful" to have this picture.

Run Inki Run!
Not for WEAK stomachs!!!
So I experienced what I believe is the funniest parent moment yet. Quite often when Terry discovers that Bella has a dirty diaper he tells me that he may need some help because he always believes it is going to be the worst dirty diaper yet. So he expresses his concern and heads upstairs to change her diaper. I tell him I will be there in a second, pretty much blowing him off because he can handle it, right?!? Anyway he starts yelling that this really is the worst and he desperately needs my help. I'm still thinking he is exaggerating and I linger on the computer a little longer. He continues to yell that he REALLY needs my help so I decide I should probably go see what the hooplah is all about. When I walk into her bedroom I am faced with the WORST dirty diaper situation we have faced yet and all I could do was laugh hysterically. I mean I about started crying I was laughing so hard. There was poop EVERYWHERE!!! And the best part was that she could have cared less. I of course ran out of the room to get the camera because it was a Cannon Rebel moment. How they (Bella and Daddy) managed to get poop in her hair....I'll never know. Needless to say, Mommy came to the rescue and we got the girl all cleaned up. Oh and discovered we are allergic to milk, hence the really bad diarrhea. Now that 's what you call a poopie diaper!!
The beach......in January!
The last weekend of Christmas break we had a beautiful Spring like Winter day (if that makes any sense) so we decided to take a little trip down to Galveston. We had not been down there since the Hurricane and I must say, things did not look as bad as I expected. We were able to drive right down onto the beach. It was really foggy down there but we were still able to get a couple of cute pictures of the girl.

It's a New Year!!
This year for New Years we ventured up about two blocks and went to the shindig at the neighborhood wedding location. The place is beautiful and we just happen to know the owners daughter. They have a New Years party there every year so we decided to check it out. We ended up having a blast and will probably continue to do this for years to come!!

Griffin Christmas
We had our first family gathering at our house during Christmas this year. We were able to host the Griffin side of the family over to our house for some food and the kids got to open some gifts. We sure missed having Grammy there this year as she was still in the hospital.Aunt Kay and Sandra with Ryan
